his
has already been an exciting year for Miramar Wholesale Nurseries.
Miramar Wholesale Nurseries joined forces with Vista Hill Nursery.
Integrating Miramars convenient location and 150-acre inventory
with Vista Hills unique selection of trees is a strategic
move that will enhance Miramars existing inventory of shrubs,
seasonal color, and the nurserys popular specialty lines,
including daylilies, phormium, ivy geranium, and an extensive
line of one-gallon perennials. The addition of Vista Hills
stock will round out Miramar's already extensive inventory, adding
an important dimension to their product line. All plant materials
have been moved from Vista Hills north county yard to Miramar's
nursery operations.
Miramars transition is being facilitated by the addition
of Bob Everett, former owner of Vista Hill Nursery, to Miramars
staff.

Everett has joined Miramars team, where he will play an
integral part in future development of the tree lines. We
intend to build on Vista Hills concept of producing distinctive
flowering trees, says Tom Ewing, president of Miramar Wholesale
Nurseries. Although trees have been a part of our product
line for many years, we feel Vista Hills unique inventory
will add an important distinction to our production. An
additional bonus to the transaction was Vista Hill employee, Ron
Forkner, who Miramar proudly added to its sales team.
Although Vista Hills inventory has been moved to Miramars
nursery operations, the Vista Hill name will continue to be associated
with unique varieties of flowering trees and palms. Miramar Wholesale
Nurseries intends to perpetuate Vista Hill's plant materials and
will integrate the most unique trees into their existing inventory
as a new product line called the Vista Hill Collection. When
Tom informed us that they intended to continue to use the Vista
Hill Nursery name in promoting our flowering trees and palms,
Bob and I knew we had selected the right team to continue the
vision we had set for the company, says Ralph Evans, general
partner, Vista Hill Nursery.
