NURSERY EMPLOYEE WINS HOME OF THE YEAR AWARD

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. – Miramar Wholesale Nurseries would like to congratulate Catarino Hugo Jorge, shipping dispatcher and landscape center salesman for earning a Home of the Year Award. For the second consecutive year, he has earned recognition for his outstanding home-gardening abilities.

Hugo and his wife Marina, both avid gardeners, earned a “2001 Garden Grove Home of the Year” presented by Garden Grove Mayor Bruce Broadwater. The event is designed to thank residents for keeping their homes and yards in beautiful condition.

For awards purposes, Garden Grove is divided into 18 zones. Volunteer judges inspect each home in their assigned zone. Approximately 44,000 homes are evaluated. Hugo and Marina Jorge’s home took the top prize in their zone. The couple was honored at a banquet and presented the award for their outstanding contribution to the beautification and improvement of the community.

Hugo has been with the nursery for 13 years, offering expert advice and assistance regarding commercial and residential landscaping needs.
