Miramar Wholesale Nurseries Named Branch of the Year
SAN DIEGO, Ca. — Miramar Wholesale Nurseries was chosen as the 2000 Branch of the Year by parent company TruGreen Companies. More than 350 TruGreen branches throughout the United States competed for the award.
TruGreen Companies is the largest provider of comprehensive commercial and residential landscape services in the nation, and made up of TruGreen LandCare and TruGreen LawnCare branches. This year’s award is the first time both arms of TruGreen participated in combined competition.
“This award is due to a lot of hard work, commitment, foresight, customer service and attention to detail,” said Tom Smith, the San Diego Region Manager of TruGreen LandCare. “Everyone at Miramar Wholesale Nurseries should be proud of the part they played in achieving this award.”
Miramar Wholesale Nurseries Branch Manager Suzie Wiest accepted the award on behalf of the nursery staff. The award was presented May 25 at a banquet in the Monte Carlo Resort in Las Vegas.
Miramar Wholesale Nurseries is Southern California’s leading supplier of landscape plant material and supplies. The nursery grows a wide variety of perennials, shrubs, and trees at three locations for projects in and around the region. The fully stocked will-call facilities in San Diego, Irvine/Lake Forest, and San Juan Capistrano serve the needs of commercial properties, institutions, property managers, and commercial landscapers. In an acquisition in early 1999, MWN became a member of the San Diego region of TruGreen LandCare, a ServiceMaster company.
