Miramar Wholesale Nurseries Continues to Expand
San Juan Capistrano, CA. - To maintain and enhance service to a rapidly growing market, Miramar Wholesale Nurseries has created another key accounts position and a territorial sales position. Veteran nurserymen Bill Remmer and Kim Huxtable joined the firm in June to service large and small garden centers and wholesale nurseries in target areas.
Remmer is a new key accounts salesman for MWN, providing service to mass merchants and nursery chains throughout Southern California. He is the third key accounts representative for MWN.
Remmer has been in the nursery industry for nearly 40 years working with companies such as Nurseryland and Hines Nurseries. He started in the industry in high school, working part time. Throughout his career he has focused on sales and purchasing. Remmer holds a BS in Business Administration and Finance from Northern Arizona University.
Huxtable makes the eighth territorial salesman for MWN. His territory encompasses the Inland Empire, Palm Springs, and Riverside County. He will work out of the San Juan Capistrano location of MWN servicing builders, developers, landscape contractors and retail garden centers.
Huxtable has more than 20 years in the nursery industry, almost all of it as a sales representative. Most recently he was an independent representative for Amfac covering a four-state territory, handling large chain stores and smaller retail nursery vendors.
Huxtable hails from Colorado where he too began working at a nursery in high school. Hooked by the product, he relocated to California to earn a degree in ornamental horticulture from Cal Poly at San Luis Obispo.
