2001 Bernays Award
San Diego, CA. - The San Diego Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America granted the Miramar Wholesale Nurseries Web site a Bronze Bernays award October 3, 2001. The annual Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence awards is named for the man considered to be the founder of modern public relations. The competition showcases examples of the highest standards in the field of public relations. Oster & Associates, Inc. is the nurseries’ advertising agency; they began a comprehensive redesign and marketing campaign for the site in July 2000.
Results have been phenomenal. Total number of hits to the site in June 2000 were 2,500. Those numbers have increased exponentially each month since Oster began the marketing and redesign in July 2000. Hits that month jumped to 23,890 and by July 2001 reached 88,000.
