2000 FIRST PLACE TRUGREEN LANDCARE
BRANCH OF THE YEAR AWARD

Attention to detail, hard work, customer service, commitment, foresight these are the qualities that are recognized by this award. All of the more than 350 TruGreen LandCare and TruGreen LawnCare branches throughout the nation competed. This is the first year both arms of TruGreen Companies participated in combined competition. We are proud of the distinction this award represents.

TWIN AWARD

The TWIN award (Tribute to Women and Industry) is sponsored by the YMCA and honors women for their contributions to industry in managerial, executive or professional roles. It is well deserved by Suzie Wiest who oversees the day-to-day operations of all three Southern California locations of Miramar Wholesale Nurseries. Between her accomplishments in business and her volunteer activities, she sets a fine example of leadership for young women everywhere.

SPECIAL SERVICES AWARD

Miramar Wholesale Nurseries is a member of the family of TruGreen LandCare companies which is composed of landscape management, installation, and nursery branches. The nursery was named TruGreen LandCare’s top performing service branch in the nation for continued exceptional performance while expanding into Orange County with two new sites and increasing production by more than 150 acres.

This award recognized our commitment to project quality, attention to detail, and dedication to quality workmanship. It reflects awards received by the California Landscape Contractors Association including: California’s Best Residential Landscape, Best Large Commercial Landscape Maintenance Project, Best Landscape Irrigation Installation, and the Ben Slade Award for the Best Landscape Maintenance Project within the state.

WOMEN WHO MEAN BUSINESS AWARD - AGRICULTURE

Every year the San Diego Business Journal recognizes women who have made a significant contribution to business in San Diego. Branch Manager Suzie Wiest was recognized for her contribution to the agricultural industry. Suzie oversees the day-to-day operations of all three Southern California locations of Miramar Wholesale Nurseries. A horticulturist by trade, she knows the minutiae of each plant at the nursery. As a business woman, she oversees the production and distribution of those same plants, and manages all the personnel required to maintain both the plant operation and the business offices.
